Ideally located in the heart of Holbox. Bar, restaurants and Ferry are very close.
We didn't end up staying here, but because we had to cancel last minute, I had several interactions with the hosts. I am reviewing the hotel because I was so impressed with their fairness, and kind responsiveness when I needed help with the cancellation. The owner could have hit us with the entire cost of a 5-night stay, but offered us the option of transferring the deposit instead. They were incredibly kind and fair to us. We will try to stay here in the future.
The shower barely works, but the location is great. It's next to the road so expect noise from vehicles passing by. A bit hard to get to when the roads are flooded. There is also free water, tea, and coffee. The entire area is under a transparent plastic dome, which makes it pretty hot, but the AC works fine.
It was our first time on the island, and we stayed at Hotel La Casa del Capi. We really liked staying there. The rooms are kept really clean and neat. The people who work there are very nice and they keep the hotel looking nice and clean. The hotel is near everything and at the same time far away enough from the main party streets. Their price per night is reasonable, and we will stay there again if we ever go back.

This place is a hidden gem. Casa del Capi is a small family owned hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and provide amenities like a fridge, TV, and safe. The outdoor patio area is the best spot to start the morning with their complimentary coffee or tea. The best part about staying here, though, is the location. It is perfectly situated! It is one block away from the plaza and a few blocks away from the beach. It is near restaurants, stores, pharmacies, etc. The hosts are very knowledgeable, you can ask them for recommendations, and they will steer you right. If you want to book a tour (like whale shark or Bio) they can book that for you as well. Great Perk- They provide parking in Chiquila.
I stayed for 8 nights at el Capi. The location is perfect, the place is super clean, and the staff is just awesome—always friendly and ready to help (shout out to Alder and Yanet). We had reliable and fast wifi, and the best part was the comfortable bed after a day of kitesurfing. Looking forward to returning!
